Vibration Motors

Installation and Operating Manual
1General
KEM-P Electric Vibration motors produce centrifugal force up to 26.000 kg operating in multiple voltages, pendulum conveyors, pendulum pipes, sieve conveyors, sieve machines, spiral conveyors, sorting machines, separation grids, vibrating scaffolds, resonance conveyors, pendulum mills, fluidic bed dryers, bunker vibrators etc. It is suitable for.
2Safety information
Kem-p vibration motors should only be operated when they are mounted on the relevant machine with all protection devices for the purpose.

Caution: The use of the vibration motor or the application may cause unexpected rotations in the centrifugal weights of the vibration motor. There is a danger of collision or pinching.

• Kem-p vibration motors must never be put into operation without guards or centrifugal weights.
• The electrical connection of the Kem-p vibration motors must be adequately secured.
• If the insulation of the connecting line is damaged or the cover of the terminal box is missing, it can cause life-threatening injuries such as electric shock. Deficiencies must be corrected immediately.
• Our Kemp Atex motors should be preferred for applications with the danger of explosion

3Transport
Local valid safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed to prevent the Kem-p Vibration Motors from being damaged while being transported and for the safety of the persons carrying them.

Centrifuge disks must be secured or disassembled to prevent damage from impacts during overseas, rough road and rail transport.
• Only poured hanging eyes (rope, shekel, etc.) should be used for hanging Kem-p Vibration Motors.
•No additional weight should be attached to Kem-p Vibration Motors.
• Motors should not be lifted by holding the container.
• For Kem-p Vibration Motors without hanging holes, a rope should be tied around the enclosure for transportation.
• Kem-p Vibration Motors should only be seated on the surfaces of their feet.
• Care should be taken for transport damage, and care should be taken to ensure that the seating surfaces and protection caps are not damaged.

4Storage
Kem-p Vibration Motors should be stored in closed dry rooms, at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C, with the motor and especially the terminal box closed and the bearings away from damage and vibration.
When Kem-p Vibration Motors are stored in an open area, they should be covered with open sheet metal for protection against moisture, and should be made in such a way that possible condensation water can flow.
Kem-p Vibration Motors should be placed on suitable floors or stored on shelves against the damages of ground moisture.
5About Engine Structure
Kem-p Vibration Motors, with their completely closed, vibration resistant, wide feet and cast projections for carrying centrifugal forces, have hanging eyes cast at the center of gravity for an effortless and safe assembly. In the housing, the stator is reduced by winding. Robust rolling bearings are pressed into large-sized bearing plates arranged on both sides. They have a maintenance-free, continuous lubrication mechanism. In rolling bearings, a strongly dimensioned shaft operates with a tenoned rotor. The shaft passage is blocked through the oil channels and v-rings. Centrifugal disks are arranged on the shaft ends on both sides to create centrifugal force. Kem-p Vibration Motors are closed completely dust and moisture-proof with two protection caps and o-rings. The end terminal box is located at the top of the enclosure and is closed by an end terminal box cover.
6Assembly
During the assembly of Kem-p Vibration Motors, attention should be paid to the following items.

•Unpack and check the delivery contents.
• Bring Kem-p Vibration Motors to the assembly area suitable for transportation conditions.
• The connection part to which Kem-p Vibration Motors will be fixed must be flat, resistant to vibration, free of color-rust-grease and oil, and must be machined flat.
•If necessary, the transport safety device should be removed before assembly, or in the case of disassembled centrifuge discs, centrifuge discs and protection caps should be mounted.
• Kem-P Vibration Motors should be adjusted with the help of poured suspension eyes.
• Kem-p Vibration Motors should be fixed with screws deemed necessary in terms of number and size.
• Screws should be turned with a torque wrench using the following torque.
• 15 to 20 minutes after Kem-p Vibration Motors are put into operation, the motors must be shut down and all motor fixing screws must be tightened with a torque wrench. This should be repeated after 2 to 3 hours and at the end of the day.

7Adjusting the centrifugal force
Kem-p Vibration Motors are delivered from the factory with a centrifugal force setting of 100% according to the standards. A different centrifugal force setting can be applied according to customer demand.

• It should be noted that the inner centrifugal discs on both sides of the Kem-p Vibration Motors must be set to the same value or the same measuring line.
• When two vibration motors are available, the centrifugal force setting on both motors must be the same.
• Due to the uneven settling of the centrifugal discs, uncontrollable large shear forces occur and these forces can destroy the pendulum machine together with the motor. There may be a risk of injury to persons at close range.

8Electrical connection
Kem-p Vibration Motors should only be connected by an authorized electrician. When connecting and operating, the regulations of the authorized EVU must be observed. Ensure protection type (depending on the type) IP 66 / IP 65 / IP 69k by careful sealing of the cable glands, blind plugs and end terminal box cover.

• Kem-p Vibration Motors are mounted ready for connection using star connection. At the appropriate main voltage, the vibration motor can also be operated in a delta connection.
• Kem-p Vibration Motors must be connected one by one via the motor protection switch.
• During the high-speed operation of Kem-p Vibration Motors (approximately 3-5 s), a starting current approximately times the rated current passes. Protection units and switches must be selected appropriately.
• If Kem-p Vibration Motors are thermally forced due to frequent switching on or off or environmental conditions, a cold transmission switch should be installed on the motor to protect the motor.
• Kem-p Vibration Motors, pay attention to the opposite direction of rotation when two vibration motors are connected.

9Installation
It is recommended to measure e-insulation resistance before Kem-p Vibration _otorsa re-put into operation (especially after long-term storage/stopping). It should be noted that after a long operating time, the minimum insulation resistance of the winding may drop to the critical minimum insulation value. The insulation resistance is measured against mass at a voltage of 500V DC. The voltage measured here is applied until the reading does not change. The value should reach > 10Mohm for unused windings at 25°C ambient/winding temperature. The critical insulation value is around 1Mohm (EN60204-1) This can be put into operation again as long as the motor does not exceed the critical insulation resistance. If it is below the value, the motor must be stopped, the winding must be dried properly or the motor must be repaired.

• Measurement should only be made by authorized persons.
• After 2 years of storage/stopping, the grease of the motors must be changed before commissioning.
• During motor operation, the measured operating temperature on the upper surface of the stator housing must not be higher than 80°C

10Spare parts and repairs
Have the manufacturer repair Kem-p Vibration Motors by. Only original or spare parts conforming to the relevant norms should be used. Make sure to use original spare parts for repairs made by another company or person.
11Guarantee
Kem-p Vibration Motors give 1-year warranty from the date of delivery.

• In case of improper use,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are put into operation on a damaged machine,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are connected incorrectly or to the wrong voltage,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are damaged by incorrect and incomplete electrical protection,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are operated with their casings ,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are operated in frequency converter and protection measures are not followed,
• When changes are made that will affect the operation of Kem-p Vibration Motors,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are put into operation without anti-friction discs,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are damaged during transportation,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are not installed correctly,
• When Kem-p Vibration Motors are put into operation with an open-end terminal box and protection caps that are not sealed and with an incorrect cable or a non-sealed cable connection
THE WARRANTY IS VOID.
